As Dreamers Do Part Deux

Potential Barbie Directors...
Patty Jenkins
Greta Gerwig
Alethea Jones
Kathryn Bigelow
Lana Wachowski
Sofia Coppola
Amy Heckerling
Penelope Spheeris
Rachel Stone-Abbott

Note: Although Legendary Multimedia currently has a development deal with Disney, Rachel is still available for offers from other studios. Again, Legendary ITTL is structured similarly to how Steven Spielberg was still able to have Amblin co-produce films with other studios even after he co-founded DreamWorks IOTL.
What Anheuser-Busch/InBev is trying to do is sell each to the highest bidder.

Busch Entertainment Parks as of October 2009
Sea World (San Diego, Orlando, San Antonio)
Busch Gardens (Tampa, FL and Williamsburg, VA)
Sesame Place (Langhorne, PA)
Aquatica Water Parks (Orlando, FL; San Antonio, TX)
Water Country USA (Williamsburg, VA)
Aquatica (Tampa, FL; known IOTL as Adventure Island)

Former
Sea World Ohio (Now part of Peacock's larger retool of Geauga Lake into the mostly indoor Universal Studios Ohio)

Current Bidders
TBS+Paramount Leisure (A consolidation of MGM Resorts and Paramount Parks)
Peacock
Warner Parks (Known IOTL as Cedar Fair)
Six Kings (Co-owned by CBS Discovery and The Jim Henson Company)
Bally
Disney
Blackstone Group
Berkshire-Hathaway
Caesars Entertainment (former co-owner of Six Kings)
The Seminole Tribe of Florida (d/b/a Hard Rock Entertainment)
Wynn Resorts
The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut (owners of the Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, CT)
I would choose Sofia Coppola to direct Barbie, and for the following bidders to acquire the following parks:

Sea World and Aquatica: Warner Parks
Busch Gardens: Florida Seminole Tribe
Sesame Place: Six Kings
Water Country, USA: Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut

With this, Warner Parks gives their parent company something fresh to chew on, The Jim Henson Company has a slice of Sesame Street in its library, and two Native American tribes become publicly known in the theme park fan community. Good for business and good for humanity.

I really think that Palace Entertainment the american arm of Spain largest theme park opertor Parques Reunidos should buy all the amhesher bush parks or both the bush gardens maybe one of the sea world parks. Palace enterment was on the expansion warpath in the late 2000's otl . They buyout kennywood entmetnet(They own kennywood Idlewild Park and lake componce) in 2007 and dutch wonderland in 2010. I belive the kennywood entement purchase has been butterfiled (with the possialbe expcetion of ildewild park) and I pefer the idea of dutch wonderland being sold to the knot family who knowns hoilday world (the knott family were mildly intersted in expanding during the late 2000's they made a plan to redevple kentyky kingdom as bluegrass boardwalk but thy bid lost). Since Palce otl expansion plans are block I feel they would focus on the amhsher bush parks. IF they don't buy amhser bush thye would be stucks with castle park in riverside calaforia silversprings park in folrida and a few waterparks and family entment centers

I reallyhope who ever buys bush gardens williamsburg won't get rid of the eurpaean themeing. Bush gardens williamsburg was the first themepark i ever been to and only disney world out did it in the level of detial in theming. Thus I would hate to see the high quilty eurpean themeing striped away

Based on her track record, I think Rachel would be best

I think you might be right.

Anyone else you might like better?
Well I'm going to say no to Greta Gerwig just to make it different. Probably Sofia Coppola as I think she has the best overall track record if you want the movie to be deep(and it will probably have Bill Murray somewhere in there, possibly as the head of Mattel or the Sugar Daddy character). I wonder if Sofia would address the Lily controversy(Barbie basically ripped off a German Doll named Lily but sold it better, took them to court and then buried all trace of Lily existing as the toymakers went out of business, destroying their livelihoods).

Does Six kings have intenrantial pargues. I fell that probbly inherited Canda's wonderland from Kings Entement.. I like idea of them buying renia adventa (now as Six flag mexio in the present day otl ) and calling it Meixco's wonderland. I wonder if six king bought the walbia group (O )in 1998 since six bought it in 1998 otl. Walbia Parks were Walbia Belgium Walbia Holland Walbia Rhone alps Walbia Aquitaine Walbia Lornie Bellewaerde. If they bought out the walibe I feel that would replace the walbia with wonderland, Switch the order of the words and and had an aposetphse s to the loction name for most of the park. If Six kings buys out wablia I wonder if they would hold on to longer then six flag did. Six flags held on to them untill 2004. Alternate purchase for the walbia group include ted turner and pragues reunids. The purchase of the wlaibe gorup could explain why prauge reunids has not entered the biding world for amhser bush themepark though it palace entment subcidary. I still hope Palace will enter the buidlign war and win

With Bruce Bochy still the skipper for the Friars ITTL, his bullpen duo of Wilson and Linceum were too much for the Marlins. Albert Pujols crushed a couple homers early on the help St Louis take a 2-0 series lead. But injuries to the bullpen brought about the Cardinals' collapse in five games. Now, Ichiro and the D-Backs hope they can close out the Metrodome a little early.

(3) Arizona Diamondbacks vs. (2) Minnesota Twins

BTW, Giancarlo Stanton will make his Marlin debut next season.

Attorneys for former child actor Johanna Thomas have filed a multimillion dollar defamation lawsuit against controversial comedian Roseanne Barr. In recent years, Barr has come under fire for a standup routine that critics say Barr deliberately misrepresented, misgendered and "deadnamed" Thomas on multiple stops of her 2008 standup tour. The suit is expected to go to trial in April of next year.
- NBC Nightly News with Katie Couric

"I don't know how Roseanne could possibly attack me like this. Her show ran on ABC at the same time that I was on Home Improvement. We were both part of the TGIF lineup. It feels like she's taking shots at me because we somehow stole her thunder when our series launched."
- Johanna Thomas in an interview conducted by Anderson Cooper on CNN on UPN.

Shout! Factory, in collaboration with Limited Run, have released the 1974 Nancy Drew animated series on VHS, DVD and BluRay. The series, which ran briefly on SBC, drew criticism for what many deemed was unnecessary fanservice. The controversy nearly sank the SBC network, which was in its infancy at the time of the show's launch.

The Seminole Tribe of Florida, who acquired the Hard Rock hotel and cafe chain in recent years, have agreed in principle to acquire Busch Gardens Tampa Bay from AB InBev. Not to be outdone, the Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut announced their intention to acquire Lake Compounce Theme Park from New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft. Both transactions are being hailed as milestones in Native American entrepreneurship.

Fifteen years removed from their World Series upset over the Guardians, the Montreal Expos are rumored to be considering relocation. Since 1994, season tickets have declined 38%. Olympic Stadium, the Expos home since 1977, has admittedly lost some of its luster. Baseball Commissioner Larry Lucchino says he prefers the Expos stay put in Montreal. If Olympic Stadium is unable to be renovated or replaced, Las Vegas, Nashville or Charlotte could become the Expos' new home as early as 2014.

After the A's get settled in their new digs, the attention will then shift to the WLAF Condors. San Jose or Sacramento could try to lure them, but expect Commissioner Oliver Luck to try to keep the Condors in Oakland first.

Statement from Tiffany Disney on Johanna Thomas's defamation lawsuit against Roseanne Barr

"I've known Johanna since her days as a teen heartthrob. Johanna has always been supportive of me whenever I myself have been targeted by conservative commentators. The views expressed by Ms. Barr concerning Johanna's gender affirmation journey are hateful, repugnant and harmful."

If the Condors move to San Jose, they could play in Spartan Stadium while their new stadium is under construction.
Yes they could. A new facility could be located on the same site where the Earthquakes built their soccer specific facility IOTL.

In the meantime, the Condors will need a vote from two thirds of the WLAF owners and approval from Commissioner Luck before they can move. But not before exploring possible options that might still arise in Oakland.

Statement from WLAF Commissioner Oliver Luck regarding the Oakland Condors' stadium situation
"Unfortunately, Oakland had been abandoned by professional football once before, with Al Davis moving the NFL Raiders out of the East Bay back in the early Eighties. On the other hand, the void left behind by the Raiders was filled by the birth of the Condors in 1983."

"For 2010, the Condors are still scheduled to play their home games at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum. After that, their future is uncertain. The A's are slated to open 24 Hour Fitness Field in 2012. However, the Condors' lease at the Coliseum expires after the 2010 season. At the moment, I'm helping the team explore various options for 2011 and beyond. If city leaders can extend the Condors' lease with the Coliseum, that can buy the team more time to explore options in Oakland."

"Sacramento and San Jose are also potential options for the Condors, but my preference is for the club to not give up on Oakland."
