The title tells me that Nixon is going to win that senate race. I knew he was. Yet, the quality of the writing gave it a dramatic feel that I was caught up in it for a moment as to how it went down to the wire.

To continue on the consequence of Nixon in the Senate in terms of honor distinctions for being a former president, I wonder how that situation will impact on the relation with Reagan. We have indeed two Californian presidents of the same party, the ancient and the new one. That will be surely a great duel of egos between Nixon and Reagan to see.

Getúlio Vargas, he was the brazilian president from 1930 to 1937. In 1937 he broke the constitution and became a dictator, but he was couped in 1945. In 1946 he run for senator and won, and later run again for presidency and won again.
