Would Paulus Krüger still have initiated the Boer war of 1899 is he had not recieved the congratulating telegramme from William 2, Emperor of Germany?
Would there have been other supporters of the Transvaal and Orange Free State in their war?

There were the French at least. There is a big deal made about Wilhelm's mistake, which is justifyable, but there was a difference between what the German Government said and what the Kaiser said. I've read that the French were practically cheering on the Boers.
