Name the country (or union of countries) from which your special forces unit comes from. Their equipment, logos and uniforms can be anywhere from completely ridiculous to incredibly detailed. Dont be afraid to give us a bit of history about the timeline from where this unit comes from, or a history of an alternate nation if you choose to create one.

Here's Mine: Afrikanisches Kommando Korps

Created in 1920 after Germany won the Great European War, the Afrikanisches Kommando Korps has always safeguarded the colonies of Imperial Germany in Afrika from foreign and domestic threat. During subsequent conflicts between the German and British Empires over African possessions the AKK was off to a rocky start as many of its officers were accused of war crimes against African natives and British prisoners of war. But 1950 the AKK was predominantly known for their heroic actions, which have spawned countless novels.
In this recent modern age the AKK has stepped out of the limelight and has only continued its existence by acting as a state police force for German governments in Africa. Their logo is and has always been the eagle of Imperial Germany holding two axes, one in each claw.

Special Operations Team "Midnight"

Team Midnight is one of the most elite special forces teams of the United Commonwealths. Composed of those severely wounded in the line of duty and offered a second chance at service via cyborgization, it specializes in environments and conditions no normal human could hope to survive, but particularly vacuum and free-space operations. Their logo is a black panther, with the motto "Celeriter offendo nox noctis", or "Swiftly strikes the night".

Formed in New York city the unit now has branches in every major city, about a Company in each to ensure logistics, administration, liaisons with local police and the Air force and Navy as well as the actual anti-terrorism teams of course.

After the Ukraine maintained its independence from the USSR the country became a battle ground for pro and anti communist forces. In order to protect thier fragile democracy the CAKC was created.

Thier goal was to infiltrate and destroy any communist cell entering the country, or to stop terrorist attacks. They have also been known to be sent on missions into the USSR to kill communist terrorists in the country and well as take out political leaders in the USSR.

They are usually armed with weapons for urban warfare, or artic and forest warfare for thier missions in the USSR.

Following the dissolution of the Republic of Rhodesia in 1980, large members of the Rhodesian SAS went AWOL into the bush, several settling in South Africa. This military force retained their loyalty to their lost homeland and to each other, becoming a rogue unit, wandering the continent. Some continued the war, assassinating black nationalist leaders. Others took up arms against the ANC and other black liberation groups in South Africa. Even after the fall of apartheid, the country remained their base of operations. The African SAS continues to operate this day as an exclusive private military corporation reachable only through dozens of dummy companies. Their prowess is legendary, and their reputation infamous. To this day, they yearn to return to Salisbury, and restore the flag that bears the family arms of Cecil Rhodes.

Department Of Active Politics of the Education and Propaganda ministry of the Russian Directorate, founded in 2013 by it's first Director E.A. Chichvarkin personaly to promote liberal values aboard. It consists entirely of volunteers under the age of 35 years. Their motto is "Through the Chaos to the Highest Order".

Armed for sabotage and urban fighting, the staff of the department promotes democratic values around the world by eliminating the opponents of private weapon ownership, trade union leaders, drug lords, irresponsible polluters, radical religious figures, and the prominent leftists in general.</span>

How do you know about this? The guys meet at Hendrik's place in Bez Valley every Friday but the meetings are by invitation only and its secret.
Possibly someone has forgotten the secrecy rules, but that's only to be expected with an average age of 66 and senior officers now topping 80.
Now, where was I?
FYI, the regiment has recently upgraded its equipment to include collapsible, air-portable mobility scooters, radar-invisible stealth zimmer frames, combat suits with built-in anti-haemarhoid rubber-rings and an array of bi-focal night vision equipment. Hand-portable, digital radio comms equipment has been withdrawn at this time due to operatives continually confusing the handsets with the TV remote control.
The Transport Unit has invested heavily in new not-too-fast reaction vehicles and has settled on custom-built restored, Armoured Morris-Minors on the basis that, (a) The drivers can still find the controls and (b) There are no stupid Sat-Navs or OBCs to confuse anyone. The only high-tech addition is the illuminated sign on the rear that responds to shouts of "Hurry up, you old fart!" and horn-blowing with a random selection of responses such as "F**k Off! I'm a Pensioner!".
Although slower than earlier methods, the new technique of silencing opponents by telling them war stories (in detail) is proving highly effective although the unit has taken some casualties when members don't last as long as the targets.
Although classified, the most recent operation, the elimination of Manto Tshabalala-Msimang--or Dr. Beetroot as she was known, on 16 December was finally achieved with the covert addition of some water into the bitch's habitual nightcap of five litres of Brandy.
It is expected that most future operations will be confined to urban scenarios as it's bloody exhausting to be out in the bush nowadays and no one wants to be out after ten o'clock at our age anyway.

Also take an active role in training military forces worldwide.

The Knights of the Golden Circle get the choicest equipment avaliable in the New United States, such as the advanced AR-18 Karbine and the new Stephensson-class assault helicopters. Due to the expirience they have in urban combat from the Internal Rebellion, they are experts in house-to-house fighting. Their dress uniforms are black and red, as opposed to the traditional white of the normal KKK troops.

The Soviet Union wanted a unit capable to fill the same role as the US Special Forces, a unit responsible to work with local forces, either help forming a insurgency, helping them fighting a insurgency or a conventional war.

Unlike the US Special Forces, The Special Political Commisar Advisory Group by doctrin want to fill the role Political Officer. This usually create friction between them and the host forces and greatly hamper the efficiency of it.

Rumour has it that Group members have been responsible for a number of purges within their host forces as well as murders of civilians and opponents.

Group members often wear civilian clothes or host forces uniforms and light weapons for self defence. The AK47 and the Makarov pistol is worn behind the Iron Curtain and western weapons outside the Curtain where they carry, M1 Carbines, FN-FAL battle rifles, Lee-Einfield rifles ann/or Colt .45 pistols.
