I gawked at the Me-509 as being fugly for having the cockpit being way too forward, but this doesn't look bad at all.View attachment 857049
Some old midengine fighter drawings
Unless its a cutaway drawing how are you going to see what engine is buried in the fuselage?I gawked at the Me-509 as being fugly for having the cockpit being way too forward, but this doesn't look bad at all.
Can you make a mid-engined fighter with either Junkers Jumo 213E or Daimler Benz DB603 engine? I still want to have a propeller hub cannon and cowling-mounted machine guns like the Airacobra, so the cockpit's not too forward, just forward enough.
The exhausts and the air scoop/s.Unless its a cutaway drawing how are you going to see what engine is buried in the fuselage?
Can you move the radiator somewhere else? I am not the fan of chin radiators. Especially here, where it negates the mid-engine's aerodynamic advantage.View attachment 857162
Here you are then
Looks similar to the A-7 lolView attachment 857162

DoneI just realized it's a mid-engined Fw-190.
Also, mind if you slim down the front a tad bit more, I could still see a bulge on the chin.
I would put the guns closer to the fuselage so that the recoil affects the wings less and perhaps cut down the rear fuselage a bitHow to build a Better Buffalo OTL at least (this will be known as the Brewster B.29 carrier based fighter for the Union Navy in my Paths TL)
