AHC/WI: OTL New England as one whole state?

Instead of the region of being made up of six different states of the USA, what if New England was one whole state of the USA since the beginning? What POD's are necessary for this to happen? And how will this effect U.S. politics going forward with New England's population being the highest in the nation upon admission as well as less Free states making up the North?

Instead of the region of being made up of six different states of the USA, what if New England was one whole state of the USA since the beginning? What POD's are necessary for this to happen? And how will this effect U.S. politics going forward with New England's population being the highest in the nation upon admission as well as less Free states making up the North?

It's a tough sell since Connecticut and Rhode Island where literally founded by people trying to get away from Massachusetts. New Hampshire was founded separately from Massachusetts and was not Puritan, and frankly didn't like them all that much. Their inclusion in New England was purely geographical.

It's not impossible, but it's very unlikely.
